The Northside Hyrox-Ready Program

What to Expect

It’s that time of year again. Spring. Sunshine. And time to work towards the next Hyrox Melbourne event. After a huge 2025 and one of our best/most fun 2 month training programs.. ever! Here’s what is ahead.

Our 8 week training program kicks off on Sunday the 11th of October. We’ll be recommending that all event participants are training at least 4 times per week (see below).

We’ll also have 3 special events over the course of the 8 weeks to get you physically and ready for the big dance.

And if last year is anything to go by.. we’re going to have a freaking blast!

P.S. Check out the 5 minute video below for more info or see below for the training session times, events and program registration!

❋ 2 x Hyrox Specific Sessions Each Week.

Hyrox Sesh 1 - Thursday @ 5:40am or 7:30pm (No running / station focused)

Hyrox Sesh 2 - Saturday @ 7:45am (Includes compromised Running)

* We strongly encourage you do the dirty-double on Saturday mornings and jump into TEAM @ 9am

❋ 2 x Running Sessions Per Week

Run 1 - Threshold Efforts - We complete this session at our Tuesday Run Club @ 5:45am (or this could be completed on your own)

Run 2 - Long/Steady - This is to be completed individually.

* Additional running can be beneficial if able to handle more km’s.

❋ Additional Strength Work

Whilst we recommend a BAM (Bare arse minimum) for anyone doing the event of 4 sessions per week.. more training can definitely be advantageous. This is where we encourage 1-2 lifting focused days to help keep the bodily structure together.
