Hi, I’m Jess! Northside’s groupie, but I also dabble in some PT’s occasionally when I’m trying to avoid Liberty and Renee’s “how many are we doing?” outbursts straight after the group demos. 

If I’m not in the studio you will generally find me checking out a new cafe or restaurant, exploring all that the world has to offer or making a fool of myself on the footy field. 

Throughout my 9 years in the industry, I’ve continued to grow and develop as a coach which had me move to Melbourne in 2020 to study a Bachelor of Nutrition Science degree, with the goal of going into a Masters of Dietetics. This is when my journey with Northside began. 

I’ve dipped my toes into a lot of different parts of the fitness industry over my career, from outdoor training, sports coaching, founding and growing my own studio back in my home town, mentoring other coaches, injury rehab, nutrition coaching, boxing, mobility, the list goes on… But each experience has shaped me into the coach I am today and also fuels my passion to continue making a positive impact on people’s lives. 

My why for becoming a coach falls back onto my childhood/ teenage hobbies. After years of playing and trying multiple sports  (some far better then others), I realised that all of the hobbies I was dedicating my time to shared a common ground - movement endorphins and a team/social environment. Two things that fill my cup more than anything. 

I knew I could use these 2 key factors to help make a positive impact on many other peoples lives and so I took the opportunity to start coaching to help people find a love for training, build mental stamina and create lifelong connections and friendships while they were at it.

In my eyes, PT and group training is the ultimate way to assist others to grow in all 3 elements of health - physical, mental and social. This outlook has only proved to be even more true to me the more I coach and is the reason I’m so passionate about my work and the influence I have on the well-being of everyone I get to work with.
