Joshua (Josh) Bell
Position: Trainer
Izzy in 5 words: Coffee, Food, Recovering theatre kid.
Josh is a recent and vibrant addition to the NSM team, bringing a passion for movement, performance, and community. With a background in theatrical movement and fight choreography, he blends creativity and physicality to help people move better, feel stronger, and thrive—on stage and in life.
Originally from Melbourne’s theatre scene, Josh has worked as a fight choreographer and movement coach across stages and studios. He believes everyone is an athlete in their own way and loves translating lessons from performance training to the gym floor, helping members find confidence, strength, and joy in how they move.
Josh’s own fitness story began with a congenital heart defect that made running a challenge—apparently as a kid he looked like he was running in slow motion. As funny as that was to watch, he had life changing surgery at the age of 8 and got all patched up. These days, you’ll catch him hitting the trails early on Sunday mornings. On Sunday afternoons you’ll find him refreshing Strava and begging for kudos.
In the studio, Josh is known for his high energy, pumping playlists, and an ability to coach both technique and mindset. Whether you’re brand new to training or looking to level up, he’s all about helping you bring your best self to the gym floor.
Always up for a chat and a coffee, you’ll find Josh around NSM most mornings—say hi, swap stories, and don’t forget to give him those Strava kudos!
