HYROX is coming to Melbourne on the 13th & 14th of December!

Below you’ll find info on the event, the process and why this could be the spark your training needed to see out 2025 strong, fit and kicking arse!

The Northside Hyrox Project kicks off Wednesday the 8th of October.

HYROX is one big day in December.. But the real magic happens in the build-up.
The 9 weeks of training, the shared sessions, the weekly progressions and the collective energy that comes with a motivated group of people.


That’s why we created The HYROX Project — train for the event, love the process.

Last year, Mike jumped into one of the world’s fastest growing fitness events Hyrox and waddled out of the convention centre victorious. Not because he was on the podium or anywhere close to the top.. but because he signed up to the event, did a whole lot of work for a good couple of months to give it his best, transformed his cycling legs into two pins that could run, momentarily got his arse handed to him when his legs shut down during the lunges and came out the other side.

The event itself - well, mixed feelings. Don’t get me wrong, I’m pretty pumped for round 2 but also keen to share the sweat fest in the Pairs Division to see what can be done when the challenge is tag-teamed.

The process that lead to the event and what it do to my training motivation and my fitness - there are no questions, it was freaking awesome.

Whether you’re interested in training up to take on the Melbourne Hyrox Event come December or simply want to feel all of the good that comes with purposeful, inspired training - our training program will consist of the following:



  • 2 x Hyrox Specific Training Sessions held in the studio every Wednesday @ 6:40pm & Saturday’s @ 9am

  • 2 x Running Sessions to complete at home (Beginner + Intermediate/Advance options)

  • 2 x Recovery Sessions each week to complete at home

  • Access to over 30 other Northside Group Sessions

And loads of special events to keep you motivated, inspired and of course.. in the arena where all of your growth will occur!

You could also slot additional training sessions in around this - but these 4 x expansion driven training sessions and 2 x recovery sessions will form the baseline for your training week!

  • Like we said.. the event is only a small piece of the pie and whether you’re registering for the Melbourne event or not - we would LOVE to have you playing with us. It will give you structure, direction and purpose to your training for the rest of the year!

    We’ll also be holding a simulation at the studio on Saturday the 15th of November!

  • Sure.. but progress doesn’t happen in a singular session or overnight.

    It’s the repeated exposure and practice of expansion that helps you get better at stuff.. so we would HIGHLY recommend making this part of your training focus for the next 9 weeks if playing along!

  • If you’re interested in participating in the Melbourne event - you’ll need to build your running as it’s a running based event.

    If you’re interested in jumping into our training sessions and not building to the event.. then you could replace the running components with the bikeerg instead.. no problemo!!

  • To tackle the 8 station / 8 × 1km running event.. you have the option of completing it individually, in pairs where you tag team the stations with a bud and run together or as a relay in 4’s.

  • Not at all! The program will be scalable, progressive and designed to get you a little fitter and a little stronger.. one session at a time.

    You DO need to have the drive to do the work and the ambition to get better.

  • We get it. Life, work, kids.. all of them occasionally disrupting our dreams of being a recreational athlete.. but fear not!

    The sessions will be accessible for you to complete in any OPEN GYM slot at the studio or you could get your training dose (whilst not Hyrox specific) throughout any of the alternative Group Sessions we offer.

  • Wednesday nights will be 60 minutes

    The Saturday mornings will be anywhere from 60-80 minutes as we build the stamina required for the big day.
