The secret to making a group fitness program work for you? Relevancy.

“Group training should fit you, not the other way around.”

The secret to making group training actually work for YOU?

Relevancy. And here’s why it matters.

Everybody has their own story, their own body, their aspirations and dreams… their own version of a “troublesome right hip” that’s giving them the shits.

When someone comes in here to play in our training programs, we need to know these things.

Partly because we give a shit.
And partly because it’s vital to what we do next.

The aspiring marathon runner? Totally different needs to the human training purely for mental health and everyday wellbeing.

That’s why before anyone jumps into a session, we run an initial 1:1. It gives us everything we need — your story, your niggles, your goals — the information we need to map out what’s next and give you guidelines on how to get involved.

  • We’re not doing kettlebell swings for someone who doesn’t know what a hinge is.

  • We’re not making people sprint when their body has no tolerance for running.

  • We’re not promoting a push-hard-at-all-times mentality — because that’s not how this works (not under our watch, anyway).

So here’s what we created for our group program: 3 levels — Base, Build, Peak.
Think of them as hats you wear into the session… because not every day is the same (just ask the Melbourne weather gods).

👉 Base: Lower intensity, easing back into rhythm — or strategically backing off because it’s “one of those days.”
👉 Build: For the consistent ones with an established rhythm, ready to step it up.
👉 Peak: Months of work banked, goals locked in, now it’s time to ask bigger questions of your body.

These 3 levels give anyone the opportunity to play a game they can control.

Because the goal isn’t to overwhelm you.

The goal is to help you feel like you’re kicking arse and loving what the training is doing for you (and yes, sometimes that means getting your arse kicked for a moment or two)…
And we’re always aiming to see you walk out of the studio feeling better than when you came in.

That’s what Base, Build, and Peak are designed to do.
It’s how we keep a group-driven program personalised to you — instead of trying to squeeze you into it.
